Devil’s Food Catering has been delighting Portland-area party-goers since 2003. Over the last two decades, we have built a reputation for delicious hand-crafted food, a sophisticated bar program, gracious service, experienced planning, and timeless style — while also demonstrating a commitment to civic engagement, social equity, and environmental stewardship.
We have catered for heads of state; captains of industry; bonafide bon ton; world-class artists, academics, athletes; and one archbishop. But most importantly, we’ve catered for thousands of folks just like you and me — everyday movers and shakers with discriminating palates and dreams of a perfect party that doesn’t necessarily have to break the bank.
From dinners for two to a thousand, from elegant cocktail parties to elevated corporate meetings, from big wine country weddings to Wimbledon brunch, from charity galas to Chinese New Year, from 99th birthdays to bat mitzvahs… Devil’s Food is the choice to dazzle your most discerning guests.
We offer food, drink, staffing, planning, rental coordination, and more. We can handle as much — or as little — as you like… Pinching pennies? Consider a delivery! Whatever the occasion, Devil’s Food Catering will make it extra special. As we like to say around here, the devil is in the details. Call us and book your party today!

Devil’s Food is committed to doing our part to ensure a brighter future for all by conducting our business as sustainably and ethically as possible, empowering the historically disenfranchised, and giving back to our community. • We source local, seasonal produce from small purveyors. • We exclusively serve PNW pasture-raised meats and sustainably harvested seafood. • We compost all of our kitchen’s food scraps as well as those from events. • Larger amounts of leftovers are donated to those experiencing food insecurity. • Our featured local wines are bio-dynamic and/or carbon-neutral with part of their proceeds going to the Oregon Environmental Council; our European wines are directly imported from small, family-owned wineries with an emphasis on female winemakers. • We encourage and facilitate employee carpools and/or biking to work and provide shower facilities. • Our building is powered by renewable energy sources, and we light our kitchen and offices with natural light during daylight hours. • We have been lauded by Recycleworks and The City of Portland as a “Green Caterer”. • Over half of our management staff are women, people of color, and/or LGBTQ. • Community organizations that we partner with and/or have donated to include: Blanchet House, Black Resilience Fund, p:ear, American Red Cross, New Avenues for Youth, American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, Portland Japanese Garden, Literary Arts, Oregon Historical Society, Portland Art Museum, Oregon Symphony, Chamber Music NW, First Book Portland, Legacy Health Foundation, Rose Haven, OMSI, and many others.
